A guide to the best fairy gardens in Ireland and also the best fairy trails. As big fairy fans we have a love of all things fairy, Ireland has a wealth of fairy gardens for you to explore. Here are my favorites.
1. The Enchanted forest fairy garden, Slieve Aughty centre, County Galway.
This is my favorite fairy gardenin Ireland and is a real hidden gem and includes fairy doors in the trees fairy houses scattered around the fairy trail and the kids can go pony riding too as well as a craft room and wee fairy shop. Great fun.
2. The Marley park fairy tree, Rathfarnham, D16
There is a fairy tree in the middle of the park, people leave notes and gifts at the tree for the fairies. The castle at the top is very beautiful and any child would love a chance to leave a note or a gift for the residents here. There is often a washing line hanging out with tiny clothes on it too. It's such a wonderful place to stumble upon in the already fantastic Marley park.
3. Rathbeggan fairy garden Dunshaughlin, County Meath
At the fairy Gardens and fairy trail at Rathbeggan Lakes you can make a wish on the Wishing Tree, leave your soother for Síog the Soother Fairy to collect and see how many fairies you can find.
4. Corkagh park fairy trail, Clondalkin, D22
The fairy trail at corkagh park in Clondalkin has a free pet farm and a playground also nearby this is a fantastic place for a family day out with lots of fairy doors.
